Notice to customers

Last updated October 14, 2026

The business you ordered from uses Drop to plan and track its deliveries. Emails come in the business's name, and questions about your order go to them. Drop never charges you and never sells your information.

The business you ordered from uses Drop, an app made by Illuminant Inc, to plan its delivery routes, send them to its drivers and keep a record of each delivery. This notice explains what that means for you.

The emails you get

Drop emails you in the business’s name, and your replies go to the business. Depending on what the business turns on, you may get an email when your delivery is on its way (with an estimated time window and a tracking link), if it’s running late, when it’s delivered (with the photo), or if it couldn’t be delivered. The business can see whether each email was delivered and opened.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. It stops that business’s delivery emails, straight away.

Drop doesn’t send text messages.

Your tracking page

The link in your email opens a tracking page, with no account or app needed. While your delivery is on its way, it shows:

  • the estimated time window. It’s an estimate, not a promise, and it updates as the day goes on;
  • how many stops away the driver is;
  • if the business turned it on, the driver’s approximate position once they’re 10 stops away or closer;
  • a map picture drawn by Apple Maps.

Your proof page

After the delivery, a proof page shows the photo the driver took, the time, and the outcome (for example “left at front door”). The photo is time-stamped and kept exactly as taken.

Keep your links to yourself

Anyone who has a tracking or proof link can open it, so don’t forward it. Links stop working 30 days after the delivery; the business can send you a new proof link if you need one. The pages set no cookies and load nothing from other sites.

What the business keeps in Drop

The business decides what to record. Usually that’s your name, delivery address, phone number and email address, your delivery instructions, and each delivery’s proof: the photo, any signature, the time and place, and the driver’s note. Drop keeps this for the business and doesn’t use it for anything else.

Drop doesn’t sell your information, doesn’t use it for advertising, and never charges you anything.

Who to ask

  • About your order or delivery: the business you ordered from. They run their deliveries; Drop is the tool they use.
  • To see, correct or delete your information: ask the business first, since they control the records. You can also write to us at support@illuminantinc.com. We’ll pass your request to the business, help them answer it, and act on it ourselves where the law requires.
